Pat Summa's THRASHER Monster Truck!::::: The Live Now Festival & Slamfest (Sat Sep 5th) are proud to announce that The Porter & Chester Institute, (the event's title sponsor) will be bringing out as part of their featured attractions Pat Summa's THRASHER Monster Truck! This thing is a massive machine, that is sure to roar and get the day 'fired up'. Parked Stage-side, make sure you stop by the truck and talk to The Porter & Chester crew to find out about the courses they offer, which include specialties in the auto-mechanics trade. We can't say enough to thank P&C for their support, and honestly while state community colleges are flat-broke, this Bridgeport-based Trade School and University has a TON to offer. No sales pitch needed here, we all know what it's like out there in the 'real world' trying to make a buck. While our event is about the kids and the experience, we really are genuinly happy to have them involved and getting the word out. Let's face it, it's difficult out there and considering to learn a new trade is not a bad option, and can be acheived locally, affordably and in minimal time. While auto-mechanics is only one of the many trades they offer, come the day of the event, you'll see first-hand that these cars and trucks they're bringing out are "simply flat-out gnarly!" In the current economy, people of all ages are considering new ways to improve their educations and learn new trades; and the auto-industry is certainly an exciting and consitent field...
